Today is the 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade.  While I’m thankful that abortion is, in theory, legal, and I’m thankful to all those who work to keep it both legal and safe, I am taking this day to remember the brave people who have suffered or lost their lives in making sure this right is available to everyone, including George Tiller, MD, who was shot to death in his church on May 31, 2009.  Let the anniversary be a reminder that we can’t be complacent: we must continue to have a watchful eye on the politicians we vote for, making sure they are nothing but fully supportive of affordable, available, safe and legal abortion. #Blog for Choice
